		<description>Marshall, I think Dave would definitely agree with #2.  Even if it&#039;s just building in a little extra cushion on top of your emergency fund so that you can bless others.

Emergency funding feels so key to a healthy financial life.  We got ours fully funded in November and it was such a gratifying experience.  The more you have, the less likely you are to make impulse/unwise purchases.

		<description>Great advice, Craig! Putting your emergency fund in a high yield saving account should be fine. The good thing of having an emergency fund is that you tend to have a positive views on most things because you feel safe financially.  And the #4 point above is very true! Thanks :)</description>
