This is RIGHT ON~money and what the bible says to do or not to do. I believe in it and we should glorify God with a tithe or offering from our hearts. Thanks for such a great and informative article concerning money and the bible.

thanks for this man, you really share a good insight about bible and money.. we should first think God before anything.. though we need money to feed our earthly needs, but we need God that can feed our soul and humanity.

Those are some great reflections on your journey!

I am so glad you are making your voice known about what God has shown you about His opinion on money and possessions. I agree the people in North America have a lot to learn about the sensitive issues you bring up. I would say the root of why those topics are so sensitive comes from the mixed message we give the world. We say God is Lord of our life, but we act like He has control over a small portion of our life, regulated to Sundays and 10%. It is very sensitive to hand over the entire week or even 100% of our money and possessions to Him and allow Him to use all that to His glory.

I agree that preconceived assumptions are dangerous! Especially when I look at what I was taught or just grew up believing and compare it with the Word of God, and see that it’s not the same.

Thanks for sharing these thoughts, Craig. I’ve come to feel the same way as you on many of these issues after spending nearly a year writing about personal finance and the Bible. I feel like I better understand some things, but I still have so much to learn.
