Even so, I just don't think a church needs to be overly expensive or fancy.... it's better to buy or build a modest building and use most of your money for God's work... my view anyway. our church is looking to buy land and build with no debt. I often wonder what Jesus would think of all the lit-up steeples, family life centers, etc., etc. that we have today.
