General News:
This has been a slow blogging week as a virus has infiltrated our home. Most of our family has been down and out because of the virus. Hence, the down and out roundup theme.

Remember Double Dose Tuesday gives you the opportunity to read my articles posted at Money Help For Christians and Bible Money Matters. My mentions and activities this week:
This week I guest posted at Kingdom Living. The site’s administrator, Matt Dabbs, is a friend of mine from graduate school. The post Why Christians Need to Talk About Money More challenges the traditional thinking that it is spiritual to ignore financial issues.

Financial Posts I enjoyed reading this week:
Tough Money Love posted an article this week on Personal Financial Lessons Learned the Hard Way. The article introduces what several financial bloggers say was their worst financial mistake. The post is helpful because it points out some of the bigger mistakes you can make financially, but it also reminds us that we are not the first person who ever did something dumb with money.
Personal Finance By the book explains How You Can Afford to Be a Stay At Home Mom. This helpful post lists some tips for financially helping moms who want to stay home.
Money Smart Live gives us an Index Fund Investing Overview. If you are not familiar with Index Fund you might want to read this article as many investors are strong proponents of investing in Index Funds.
Master Your Card has 12 Side Hustles to Stay Afloat. If you have been looking for a way to earn a few extra dollars be sure to check out this post.
Borrow From None asks Do You Have a Purpose and a Plan for Your Money? This post challenges you to set goals and allow those goals to determine your course of action.
Some Christian Articles I Enjoyed:
Churches are full of best intentions, but sometimes out of ignorance we inadvertently mistreat those who are full time servants of the church. I thought this post, Top Ten Ways to Ruin Young Pastors, was a helpful reminder about things for a church to avoid in their interactions with young ministers.
Signs of a Struggling Local Church gives some criteria for a church to reflect on. Again our goal is avoid these signs listed.
